Creek Lullaby - Digital Download

This traditional lullaby was first recorded when a girl named Margaret who hailed from the Creek Nation sang it in the summer of 1943 for Willard Rhodes, Professor of music at Columbia University. He was employed by The Bureau of Indian Affairs to compile a recorded catalogue of Native American Songs.
In this delightful and soothing version (often called Margaret's Lullaby) by Steven Gigante, he brings the ancient culture to life so well you can almost feel the warmth and picture a baby gently drifting off to sleep after a trying day.
This great track is part of the album, Prairie Paths.
You can be proud of your support for the Native American music and culture with every purchase because Steven's mission is to preserve that beauty in each of his songs, for generations to come.
